About

Katy Lee

Background
I emigrated from Taiwan to the US with my parents at a young age.Like many immigrants in the U.S., they chose to start a small business working diligently as restaurant owner/operators.

My father had already emigrated once from China to Taiwan right before the start of World War II; with his final destination ultimately being the U.S.He worked hard to provide for his wife and three daughters in the U.S. until his passing.

As a business owner in the U.S., with English as his second language, I saw my father struggle in business dealings especially when it involved legal matters such as restaurant leases.

Since then, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of having a strong understanding of both business and law in the U.S. I know that I can provide value to individuals who do not have sufficient financial resources to hire full legal representation but who need legal assistance in matters where they might want to choose to represent themselves.
